How to prepare for a constructed response exam
Unlike objective response exam, CIPS students are far more familiar with constructed response. The pass mark for this type of exam is generally lower, just 50% compare to 70%.
This does not mean constructed exam is easier than objective response. Usually in this type of assessment, students are required to write down some important key ideas. The answer may be very lengthy and hard to be remembered. Some answers require exact name and explanation.
To deal with the above challenges of constructed exam, you can do the following:
- Try to summarise each Learning Outcome and Assessment Criterion by yourself
- Answer the question in Apply, Check and End of Chapter Assessment section
- Make a mock test with instruction from sample questions and answers and Principle Marker report.
